Ervin Goldfain. Emergence of Conserved Charges from the Dimensional Flow

Description: We develop a general framework in which conserved charges and invariant structures of fundamental physics emerge from the flow of spacetime dimensions with the observation scale. We argue that the dimensional flow naturally encodes conserved parameters of Quantum Field TheoryâE"including spin, electric charge, color, and weak isospinâE"as well as the invariant Lorentz interval of Special Relativity. In this picture, conservation laws arise as fixed points of the dimensional flow rather than from gauge and spacetime symmetries.
