Description: The article discusses the concept of "civic culture" as a component of teacher image. The authors note that the educational process in higher education should provide for the possibility of obtaining individual knowledge and skills of the specialty, intellectual, spiritual and physical development, improving education and cultural level of citizens. Modern society requires professionals who not only have professional knowledge, but also able to focus in industrial situations, business contacts and other cases related to professional activities. Future engineers and educators that its activities are focused on the interaction with small social groups should have the skills to manage human behavior, to understand the motivation of behavior, find solutions to conflicts, have active civil position, be able to express and defend their own opinion. Today there is no objection statement that an essential feature of modern specialist is the civic culture.
