Description: The article describes the peculiarities of the organization of the cognitive activities of students with special needs at the physical training classes, in particular, the levels of studentsE cognitive activity development, the system of motives for physical exercises. Based on the main idea of the formation of the cognitive activity of the university students at physical training classes the research formulates and justifies didactic conditions as well as the ways to optimize studentsE desiretowards regular physical activity. One of the main tasks of the process of studentsE cognitive activity development at physical training classes is identified, namely, it is the stimulation of the interest towards the physical activity as such, as without this psychological mechanism the development of the motivation and emotional sphere of an individual towards the physical activity is not feasible.
