Description: The motivation for the continuous dimensionality of spacetime near the Fermi scale stems from two premises, namely, 1) dimensional regularization of perturbative quantum field theory (QFT), 2) the existence of non-trivial fixed points of Renormalization Group equations. Here we discuss a third reason, rooted in the behavior of non-equilibrium phase-space flows.
