Description: A novel raytracing method through parabolic axial gradient index lenses is presented. The study is based on developing the exact solution of the differential ray equations with initial conditions set by refraction at the first surface. The analysis offers potential benefits in reducing the computation effort and increasing the raytracing accuracy.
